Access 2007

This term we had to create a database, either for music, the different genres, or for movies. I chose to do for four different types of genres for music, I had to insert different artists, one of their song from a sepecific album, and I could add more detail or information, like the date it was released and so on. The picture on the left shows a form, which is a simpler version to see whose it is from and which genre it belongs to, and in this case this one belongs to classical music. The other picture is a table which includes all the information from the whole table of the Classical genre. This project was fun because I got to learn other ways of organizing all my stuff and in a way which I find it very easy. I also learned to use Access for the first time, although I liked this project, I think it was less fun than the other ones we already did, but I tried to have fun. We had to use the design cycle; Investigation, Design Specification, Design, Plan, Create and Evaluation. The ones which I found more fun were the Design and the Create the rest was fine, and I was able to give everything in on time.

1st of October IT lesson

Today we got into class and decided that we would not be able to hand in the project by the end of this lesson. We decided to hand it in on the beggining of next lesson. So today we worked hard to finish the last two questions and finally start our introduction and also I reviewd the tutorial again to be sure how to asnwer a certain question.

24/09/2009 Reflection

Today was our 3rd lesson of I.T, and we had to continue our investigation. It was quite hard today's lesson because I realised that we had a lot to be done in our investigation, in the end it got easier since I've got so much of it done. Now we will have to continue our investigation for homework to be handed in the end of lesson on next thursday.

Today in the second I.T class we talked about what we had to do in this Access 2007 project. Then we went to our computers and read what we had to do, afterwards started our investigation for this term in Year 9.

10/09/09

Today was our first I.T lesson this year. We have Miss Castro as our teacher, and we also had Miss Castro on the last term, in Year 8. In our first lesson we were asked to go and search the tutorail about Access 2007, which we are going to be learnig this year! So we got into a group of 4 and started to see it together, it was 45 minutes long, we were only able to see some of it.
